How to fight drought, protect peatlands, and plan urban forests? Insights from the 6th Regional Stakeholders Meeting in Świętokrzyskie. KIELCE, POLAND – On January 20, 2026, the Department of Regional Development and the Department of Environment and Climate of the Marshal’s Office of the Świętokrzyskie Region hosted the 6th Regional Stakeholders Group meeting for the NACAO – Nature-based Carbon Offsets project. The event focused on translating three years of international cooperation into concrete policy actions for the region.

ANCONA, Italy – On 5–6 November 2025, the Marche region will host the 6th Thematic Seminar of the NACAO project, dedicated to innovative methods of carbon offsetting. This event marks a key stage in the exchange of experiences between European regions as part of a partnership co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg Europe programme.

On October 7th, a conference organized by experts from the Interreg Europe learning platform took place in Sarajevo. The project 𝙉𝘼𝘾𝘼𝙊 Nature-based Carbon Offsets 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙜 𝙀𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙖, regionally implemented by the Department of Regional Development in Marshal`s Office of Świętokrzyskie Region in Poland, was recognized and selected among many European projects.

The Marshal Office of the Świętokrzyskie Region hosted the 5th meeting of the Regional Stakeholder Group within the NACAO project, implemented under the Interreg Europe programme. The event, focused on exchanging good practices in the field of green and blue carbon, was chaired by Joanna Rudawska, Deputy Director of the Department of Regional Development.

The three-day V Thematic Seminar within the NACAO project from the Interreg Europe program, aimed at exchanging good practices in the field of green and blue carbon, has ended. Project partners and stakeholders saw proven solutions for offsetting carbon dioxide emissions implemented in the Świętokrzyskie region.

KIELCE, Poland – On February 20, 2026, the Marshal Office of the Świętokrzyskie Region hosted the 6th Regional Stakeholders Meeting of the “CORE – Composting in Rural Environments” project. The event brought together regional partners: local authorities, waste management plant managers and experts to discuss the progress of this Interreg Europe initiative.

The 5th Regional Stakeholder Group meeting of the CORE project (Composting in Rural Ecosystems), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under Interreg Europe 2021–2027, was held at the Waste Management Company (PGO) in Promnik. The discussions focused on good practices in composting and their implementation in the Świętokrzyskie Region.

From 9 to 11 September 2025, the VI Thematic Seminar and study visits will take place in Söderhamn as part of the CORE Interreg Europe 2021–2027 project, which aims to exchange experiences and disseminate good practices in the field of bio-waste composting and improving its quality.

A group of children from Vinnytsia, Ukraine, will stay in our region until the end of the week as part of the “Kielce Camp for Vinnytsia – Świętokrzyskie 2025” programme. Until Sunday, they are taking part in a rich integration and educational programme, offering them a moment of joy and relief from the hardships of daily life.
